A Brief Introduction

With the publication of "Ching Ling Foo: America's First Chinese Superstar\!" the Foo project is just getting started.

In addition to the book, I have written a screenplay based on Foo's life that I've signed a developmental deal with a small Los Angeles production company that is looking for production partners and raising money. At this very early stage I still control the process. However, once a large amount of money comes in or a large production partner come in by definition significant control will be lost. That's why it's so important to find a good partner.

Apart from the live action film we have signed an M.O.U. with a Chinese documentary channel to work with them on a documentary on Foo. More on that later…

Finally, now that the book is complete and published we are in discussions with Chinese publishers to produce a Chinese language version of the book. Translating this book and translating it properly will be a mammoth task. You are dealing with nuanced language, multiple historical settings and terms, as well as, operating across cultures. This will not be a speedy process.
